Can you please elaborate on "chaar avasthaaen"?

Rakesh Gupta said...

Chaar Avasthaayein are the four natural-orders in existence.

These are

(1) matter-order (padaarth avastha) - which is soil, stones, gems, and metals.

(2) plant-order (praan-avastha) - which is all kinds of vegetation.

(3) animal-order (jeev-avastha) - which is all living beings except human.

(4) knowledge-order (gyaan-avastha) - which is humankind.

These four orders are evidenced on our this very Earth. There can be no way that we could deny that. Humankind (the knowledge-order) or we ourselves - have to live with these four orders. There is no other place for humankind to live.

Now the proposal is - only with perfect comprehension of existence (which is these four orders expressing themselves in limitless space) a humankind can live with harmony.

Thanks. Now let us take an example of an object. Say "cow's milk".
This is from padaarth avasthaa.
Now can you elaborate on the upyog, kaarya and hone ka vidhi of this padaarth?
What I am trying to get at is the upyog. Upyog is two fold one determined by Nature and one by Man.
This is one crucial point I would like to understand from MDs viewpont.

"Upyog is two fold one determined by Nature and one by Man."

Instead - the proposal is to see it as:

Human-being is an inseparable part of Nature - and is an entity of Knowledge-Order. Being in knowledge-order it naturally needs to know - how to do upyog.

There are other entities in Nature apart from humankind - which are as matter-order, plant-order, and animal-order. There is natural-emergence in existence expressed as coexistence - as the governing law of existence. This law is evidenced by nature. This leads matter-order projecting plant-order, which in turn projects animal-order. Knowledge-order is the final projection in the process of natural-emergence in existence. The previous links in the projections are upyogi for the next links. The next links in these projections are poorak (complementary) for the previous links. This usefulness and complementariness is realizable only upon perfect-comprehension of existence by a human-being, since human-being is an entity of knowledge-order. For the rest of the entities of nature, this is realized without volition.

Humankind becomes capable of realizing its upyogita and poorakta effortlessly only upon achieving knowledge of coexistence.

So in summary, Nature's laws are inherent in Nature.

Human-being is inseparable part of Nature.

Human-being's laws are of that of knowledge-order, which it needs to know before it can act them out.

Before this knowing, human-being imposes his beliefs about how existence may be working. Such imposition is illusion in human-being only. Existence is, what it is.

Regards,
Rakesh.

Excellent answers!
Let me just add what I understand from Babaji's words.(I understand vidhi to means rules and methods that encapsulate the object).
Every object needs to be understood from three angles.1.Its Functionality(karya vidhi)2.Usefulness(upyog vidhi)3.Characteristics that define its being or existence(hone ka vidhi). Taking Cow's milk as an example of an object in existence:
What is its function? To provide nourishment. What is its use? Can be used in food, cosmetics, chemical bonding etc etc. What are its characteristics? It has physical characteristics such as being liquid and white and chemical such as its composition mainly being made of calcium, protein, fat and water. How does it get formed? What makes it possible to be in existence?
Only when one understands any object from all the three vidhi viewpoints, can one understand its purpose of being in existence and its relation with other objects and entities in existence which in effect means its "coexistence" or sah astitva.
When one has understood the object in this manner, one can never "misuse" the object or the method(procedure) that makes its possible for the object to project itself in existence. One who has an incomplete understanding (Bhramit) tends to misuse objects and entities associated with its being. As it is rightly said only a human being (being the sole possessor and dispenser of knowledge and Will) can use or misuse. Nature does not have Will so the question of use or misuse does not arise from this viewpoint.
As an example of misuse is the Bovine Growth hormone injected to cows to make them produce more milk and be sturdier. This is in fact proving harmful to both cows and humans, yet a human's want for milk has become so huge that BGH is used widely because a human wants to look at milk only from the point of view of functionality and usefulness. The last one "hone ka vidhi" is conveniently ignored which is the biggest mistake humankind is making.

If one continues his understanding of milk from the "hone ka vidhi" one realizes there are subtler more important aspects like "karuna" and "vaatsalya" that make it possible for milk to project itself in existence. It is these aspects that are hugely ignored by humans or often taken for granted. And it was rightly said before, this happens due to a human driving his Will by base animal instincts rather than the higher level ones.

Having looked at an object like milk, with this sampoorna drishti(threefold) one realizies how milk embodies itself in its form with physical and chemical characteristics, its functions and methods encapsulated in it. This realization is called "sakshatkar".
Soon after reaching sakshatkar you will understand milk for what it is(this is called bodh), then when you drink milk the next time you will not only experience its taste, appreciate its whiteness and nourishing properties you will also be aware and appreciative of the karuna and vaatsalya that goes into the production or creation of milk as an object. This is called anubhav. When you are at this level of consciousness you have risen above "animal level" where you are only aware of its functionality and use.

As you can see this sakshatkar, bodh and anubhav may not be mapped to words exactly, they may only be experienced and your intellect makes a decision of accepting the experience as a reality or hallucination.

All the methods needed for an object to manifest itself in existence are embodied within the object and its association with Space which is the eternal essential Truth. This is called knowledge(something that is inherent in the object and it's relations). A human being's endeavor is only to discover this knowledge and map it to words so that it can be studied or replicated.

And to think all knowledge basically boils down to a 1(what is) and a 0(what is not). And "what is not"(0) is a state that may be created only by blocking "what is"(1). There is a famous line "Nothing comes from Nothing, Nothing ever will". This is why Babaji says Existence is "what is".
I will just add a line to it, Realization is being aware of the changes of state between a 1 and a 0 and vice versa. The whole of knowledge, indeed life itself is nothing but changes of these two states.

This is the gist of Babaji's philosophy, This is how he wants us to study the world.

It should not be too hard for one with knowledge of programming and object oriented analysis. I would like to write a paper on this sometime .......
Yet as Babaji says the proof is in the pudding, it is not enough to understand, one has to practice and experience the philosophy to reach the Truth.(Now this is easier said than done, but we must make the attempt ....)

Thanks for putting all this on your blog, every bit was immensely interesting, absorbing and absolutely beautiful .......
