Education is for becoming wise.

This wisdom shall be provisioned by way of teaching in educational institutions.  An educational institution is a combined expression of all parents and guardians.  Education is an act of imparting wisdom.  Education is incomplete until its recipient becomes wise.  Every educational institution, every parent, every guardian of a child is responsible for imparting wisdom.  Every family is a practice ground of education.  It is no use thinking centralization, privatization or nationalization of education.  We need to directly recognize parents and guardians as educational institution.  That is the design of education when we base it on wisdom.  That alone will benefit humankind.  We need to become capable of delivering justice.  We ourselves need to be real life evidences of delivering justice. We will have wisdom and do justice only when we get these two capabilities.  Today not even chief justices of Supreme Court understand justice, what can be said about others?  Justice is the minimum capability that is needed for humane living.   The evidence of justice is in the form of humane conduct.  Conversely, justice cannot happen if one’s conduct is short of being humane.

- An excerpt from English Translation of Jeevan Vidya - Ek Parichaya

Justice

We experience justice only after we can identify our relations.  Once we have identified our relation with other person our response there becomes based on values.  The result of which gets evaluated by both sides and mutual fulfilment starts happening.  Justice is that which can satisfy both sides.  It is not justice until both sides are satisfied.  I am asked what we should do with criminals.  My answer is – one who committed crime did that because we failed to make that person wise.  I ask you, why do you seek justice based on conduct of criminals, why don’t you see justice in those who are good?  There are so many people who don’t commit any crimes, who we don’t have any problems with, with whom we mutually evaluate and find fulfilment.  How can that be forgotten?

Religion and State

They say destiny corrects its own course.  Some say nature itself will create circumstances which will make human life impossible on Earth once human excesses reach their extreme.  We hear about the climate change crisis and they are already calculating how many of world population will survive and how many will perish.  Some countries think their citizens should survive.  Some religions think their followers should survive and claim that their God is the only saviour.  Only their lot will survive and all others will perish.  What will happen by such thinking?  Where do you want to lead people by making such claims?  What will happen by thinking this way?  My view on this issue is – both State and Religion have completely lost their way.  The seats of religion do not have any basis for defining universal religion.  These don’t have anything to offer for education.  These don’t produce any real life evidences of what they claim about religion.  Where is religion then?

In the same way, State at present has no definite concept or definition.  They say we need to work for saving our State.  What will you do for saving your State?  The answer comes – we will struggle!  Struggle is all about conflict, revolt, exploitation and war.  Who causes struggle – nature or human being?  When this was studied it was found that it is human being only who causes struggle.

Religion and State are two seats that have all the resources and all the power.  Both these seats of power have no basis for giving clear direction to people.  There is no need to mention the seat of Business which is ever ready for exploitation.  The seat of education says they don’t have any vision or provision for showing the way, giving direction, or recognizing definite goal of human being.  Now what is a common man to do?  One is not going to get any guidance from these seats of Religion, State, Business and Education.  Now the courage is to discover and pave the way ourselves.  That way is of wisdom, honesty, responsibility and participation.  The way of violence will not get anywhere.  Violence cannot fulfil our needs.  Still violence is considered as a legitimate means of State.  Isn’t that a big illusion?

Our own becoming wise is the only wise thing to do now.  The verification of wisdom happens in one’s own self.  You cannot become wise by examining me.  You will become wise only when you examine yourself.  I kept testing others for first thirty years of my life to no avail.  I didn’t get an ounce of wisdom by doing all that.  I found wisdom when I examined myself after my sadhana of twenty years.  I want to handover the wisdom that I accomplished by my sadhana to humankind.  This effort too is a part of that exercise.

Wisdom based Living

There are no difficulties in wisdom based living.  The difficulties are only when we base our living on ignorance.  This Earth is one integral whole.  It is we humans who have divided it into many fragments and called them as nations.  Not just that, we have deployed armies around each fragment and we keep fighting every now and then.  The Earth cannot be made into pieces, and no one will survive if it is done to pieces.  Are we truthful if we assume Earth to be as many pieces while it is actually an integral whole?    This is something to think about.  It illustrates how entrenched in lies we have become.  Another illustration is our dividing humans like animals based on their skin colour and race.  What kind of intelligence is that?  The valuation of human being can be based on their wisdom and not based on colour of their skin or their race.  The history is full of conflicts and revolts that resulted based on these fictitious bases of valuation of human being.  For example – revolt against slavery, then revolt against feudalism.   Feudalism has given way to democracy but we humans haven’t learnt orderly living based on socialism or humanism.  The lie is in assuming that we have achieved the wisdom of orderly living, while all that we humans could achieve till now is objects of comfort.  The wars, conflicts, exploitation are still there as it is.  We are living with lies.  The lie is in the idea of Nation that is based on assumption that Earth is fragmented.  The lie is in the idea of Constitution that assumes rule by power centre (State).  Nation is above everything.  Constitution is above everything.  While the essence of Constitution (anywhere in the world) is – Rule by Power Centre.  What is Rule by Power Centre?  It is to stop one mistake by making another mistake, stop one crime by committing another crime, and stop one war by waging another war.  Some constitutions provision ensuring basic utilities for all (thereby provide a level playing field), while assuming one who has money will be able to struggle and survive.

Everyone declares - life is a struggle and our survival depends only on struggle.  Is there any truth in such declarations?  All lies have their roots in such declarations.  Families, Education, Business etc are buried under bundle of such lies.  Some try to escape from these lies while some remain buried.  We want to reform education (to bring about wisdom based living).

- Excerpt from English Translation of Jeevan Vidya - Ek Parichaya

A definite destination can only be reached by a definite path.

“Jeevan Vidya” is to understand the meaning of ‘being’ (or self) and the meaning of ‘character’ of any reality in existence.  I recognize jeevan as the ‘self’ or ‘being’ of human being, in the same way you can also recognize.  Illusion is until one believes body to be self. The instant I recognized jeevan as my ‘being’ or ‘self’ I started living orderly.  You can also do it.  Human beings cannot start orderly living without recognizing jeevan as ‘self’.  This (transformative learning) process is natural and perfectly aligned to the way of emergence in coexistence.  Jeevan is the entity that understands and it is also the entity that is to be understood.  The liberation, according to the idealism, happens when the viewer, the vision and the view become one.  According to them God alone is the view, God alone is the viewer, and God alone is the vision.  A great deal has been written based on these premises.  It still remained unclear how God is, where God is, why there is God.  Still people listen to these things because it makes them feel good.  It is worth mentioning that the gap between ‘feeling good’ and ‘being good’ has remained as it has always been.  Later on, with coming of materialism, people started describing human being based on the model of a machine and failed again in doing that.  However they kept on arguing based on that premise in just the same way as idealists who kept on arguing based on the premise of God even if they could not explain it.  In this way human thinking has become stuck with these premises, unable to think anything else.  The alternative to these premises is to think based on the premise of jeevan’s eternity (immortality) and body’s mortality.  Mortal body is a recurring event for immortal jeevan.  Body gets formed in the womb.  An atom develops in natural course of emergence in existence and irreversibly transitions to conscious plane (by achieving constitutional perfection).  Body, being mortal, gets formed and after a duration it gets deformed and this process keeps happening again and again.  All units of bio order remain for certain duration after which they start decomposing.  Human body too is formed of cells of bio order.  Human body has the most enriched brain ever possible which is result of successive emergence in bio order forms.  The purpose of brain in human being is only to express and receive knowledge of existence.  On this basis I claim that one human being can communicate knowledge of whole existence to other.  What is one to do during one’s life time?  Human life is meant for evidencing jeevan’s awakening.  Sensitivity has been there in human being ever since they came about on Earth, which is not something which could be hidden or be covered up.  Both idealism and materialism failed in their efforts of hiding human sensitivity.  Idealism prescribed ways (penance, austerity etc) of subjugating sensitivity.  (Materialism propagated ways of appeasing sensitivity.)  Many ascetics happened on our Earth but we could not find the definite wisdom for which humankind thirsts, the wisdom which could be practiced in the form of tradition.  Now it is for those ascetics to say what they lost and what they found by their efforts.  Common people hoped to see miracles and mystical powers from these ascetics.  People have been mad after miracles and mystical powers.  Let me tell you that there is nothing mystical about existence, nor are there any miracles.  Existence is a definite order.  There are definite outcomes of definite actions in existence.  There are definite milestones and accomplishments in existence and each accomplishment has its continuity.  I have witnessed and understood it.  We, all human beings, are in anticipation of reaching a definite destination in our lives.  This definite destination can only be reached by a definite path.

We cannot reach our definite destination without studying human being as human being is.

We cannot reach our definite destination by declaring cockroach to be most developed life form!

We cannot reach our definite destination by destroying our land with chemical fertilizers and insecticides.

We cannot reach our definite destination by equating creations of mind to material wealth calling it ‘Intellectual Property Right’ and using it for exploitation.

- Excerpt from English Translation of Jeevan Vidya - Ek Parichaya

Intellectual Property Right is an example of our flawed reasoning

Human beings cannot reach their definite destination by equating creations of mind to material wealth, calling it ‘Intellectual Property Right’ and using it for exploitation.  Global organizations and judicial courts of every nation want to accept and declare that it is legal to do so.  Jeevan’s powers are inexhaustible – How can you treat them like commodity?  Is their proposal (of bringing and enforcing Intellectual Property Right) based on understanding of jeevan and consciousness?  How far would it prove as beneficial for humankind?  I know that jeevan’s powers do not diminish how so much one may use.  You can see it for yourself.  Jeevan powers do not exhaust by using, their use only renews and revitalises them.  Jeevan powers cannot be quantified.  Any effort to quantity (and trade) jeevan powers will only result in frustration. Intellectual Property Right is an example of how our flawed reasoning makes us pledge our own self, making us slaves, build the basis of exploitation.  In my view it is against humanity and it is against coexistence to exploit based on human intellect.  It is against humanity to fight based on who owns an idea.  How can you declare that you are building a just society on that basis?  This is something to think about.  Such claims are blatant lies according to me.  Human intellect cannot be measured.  Every human being has inexhaustible intellectual powers which cannot be bound by books.  I have found myself to be bigger than whatever literature that I have written.  I am bigger than all machines that ever got made.  Human being is bigger than all machines that ever got made and all books that ever got written.  All books have been written by human being, and human being is bigger than all books.  I don’t think we will understand anything until we reach this conclusion.  After all these discussions we can accept what would be the right thing to do.  Eventually one reaches the conclusion that we humans must become wise.

Human being needs to awaken

We humans need to live in co-existential harmony with animal world and plant world as well.  If we take something from these then we should have something to give back as well.  We are living in our own dreamy world if we keep taking without giving anything back.  If we keep exploiting nature this way it will result in our own misery.  The current events (of climate change and pollution) illustrate this.  We humans need to determine how we ought to live with mineral world, plant world and animal world in order for us to live in co-existential harmony.  If we cannot determine our coexistence with them then we cannot call ourselves learned, nor can we call ourselves scientific, nor can we call ourselves wise.  Our learning, our science and our wisdom is incomplete until we determine how we ought to live with these.  What is human life without the plant world?  What is human life without this Earth, the hills, the minerals and the animal world?  Our living is integral with these.  These are magnificent treasures and we are to live with these.  These need to be for us to be.  It is human being who has choice to decide whether to live harmoniously or destructively.  Human being has lived destructively in misery because of their being in illusion.  Now they need to turn the tide.  Human being needs to awaken.  Human being needs to recognize coexistence with everything in existence.  When we go about recognizing coexistence with everyone, we discover that all these are (saturated) in the absolute power (Omnipotence or Brahman).  This recognition is first account of witnessing coexistence.  Then we witness the successive emergence from material order to bio order to animal order to knowledge order, with each stage arising from the previous, affecting their presence, and establishing their eternal magnificence.  Bio order is witnessed affecting its presence as an order in itself with continuity of its kind established.  Animal order too is witnessed as an order with their own character.  The central point is how human being is to understand their ‘own character’, how they are to understand their ‘own being’.  ‘Being’ and ‘character’ both need to be understood and lived (for human awakening).
- An excerpt from English translation of Jeevan Vidya - Ek Parichaya.

Individualism contradicts coexistence.

Human fulfilment could not result by sensitivity view (which proclaims human behaviour is based only on their ability to sense or feel) or by mechanistic view (which models human being like a machine).  The sensitivity view brings sensory function into focus.  No two individuals are exactly same in their sensory capabilities or tastes.  This entails dividing human beings based on their diverse tastes.  The sensitivity view therefore leads to individualism.   Consumerism that follows from the mechanistic view also leads to individualism.  Third view is idealism, inherited from tradition, which propagates devotion and renunciation.  There is no end to individualism here as well.  In this way because of individualism all great efforts of humankind, efforts even with most noble intentions, resulted only in failure.  Individualism contradicts coexistence.  It is the root cause of fragmentation in humankind.  Human living is sustainable only in the universal order of coexistence.  A simple recourse to living in the universal order of coexistence is by first living in harmony with other human beings.  This is the starting point for understanding to participate in the universal order of existence.

Understanding God

Prior to this proposal, Idealism (spiritualism) positioned God as the saviour.  I have seen God and I claim that there is no such thing as “Saviour God”.  In what form did I see God?  I saw God to be in the form of Omnipresent Space.  I saw God as absolute energy in which all units of matter are energized.  I have seen every unit to be in Coexistence of Omnipresence.  What more is there to be seen about God?  If anything still remains then you are most welcome to see and show it to the world.  You are free to explore yourself (if you don’t trust studying reality from me).  That which I saw and understood, I have presented before you.

Human Being

Is human being a machine?  Can anyone take responsibility of answering this question?  I declare that human being is not a machine.  Human being is the maker of all machines that ever got made.  Therefore a machine can never replace a human being.  A machine is always gross compared to human being; therefore it cannot fully appreciate a human being.  Secondly, a machine is made of material order things.  It is worth noticing that they (scientists) haven’t been able to make a single machine with bio order things.  Still they keep boasting that human being is a machine!  How far is that line of thinking good for human race?  Can that thinking ever achieve all round resolution in human being?  It is such a deep rooted belief that human being is merely a machine and a consumer.  That has been the thinking so far, but the reality is different.  One surely feels being unlike a machine while living with one’s child!

I recognize human being only with consciousness.  Consciousness in human being is a combined form of intelligence and sensitivity.  Human being is no different from machine if we don’t recognize sensitivity in them.  Such mechanistic worldview could not result in fulfilment of human being.  I don’t see a way to fulfilment if we humans keep working like machines.  I invite any guru who can show the way to fulfilment through mechanistic living.  I have listened to those who describe human being based on principle of genetics but they couldn’t convince me.  The materialism and relativity principle too have been unsuccessful in giving definition of human being.  If human being gets described fully in terms of these three principles then we should accept those for our living.  Otherwise we should recognize human being as a human being is in reality.  This proposal (Madhyasth Darshan) does just that.

Justice

We are linked with relationships all around us  and our not acknowledging these relationships is the whole problem.  The instant we acknowledge a relationship the values start flowing from within us.  The flow of values results in our responding to that relationship and when we appraise it, it results in mutual fulfilment – which is evidencing of justice.  The way of acknowledging a relationship is to understand its purpose (in universal order of existence).  The relationship of ‘mother’ is acknowledged based on understanding its purpose of nurturing (which is essential for universal order to be).  The source of nurturing is called as ‘mother’.  In the same way, the source of protection is called as ‘father’.  The source of evidence (of realization in knowledge) is called as ‘teacher’.  The source of inquiry (need to know) is called as ‘student’.

The Way

Upon achieving resolution, we humans can ascertain our needs based on jeevan’s activity of reasoning.  It is only upon definitely ascertaining our needs can we experience prosperity from production.  As we experience prosperity (along with resolution), we become capable of orderly living.  Therefore we need to first make our students self reliant, thereupon we need to enable them to live harmoniously in family and participate in the universal order.  Success for human being is at these three levels.  The need for this (self reliance, harmony in family, and participation in universal order) is inherent in every human being, which is the basis of its becoming successful. If one becomes aware of this need’s presence one can focus on study of this proposal and become successful in evidencing it.
