Jeevan Vidya


Jeevan Vidya

I have understood jeevan (consciousness), and here I start my efforts of making you understand it.  This process is called “Jeevan Vidya”.  First thing which I want to make it clear is eternal equality in Jeevan.  Every human being wants to understand and produce evidences of their cognisance of consciousnesses as their fundamental objective.  Jeevan is neither material (physiochemical) nor non-material.  Jeevan is an atom – a constitutionally complete atom.  Constitutional completeness means - neither instillation nor expulsion can happen in this atom’s constitution.  While instillation and expulsion of particles from constitution is found to be there in whatever atoms are there in physiochemical form.  The change happens in the number of particles that constitute an atom, which we call as ‘result’.  That is the only fundamental change there is in the world, and nothing else changes.  Whatever change that human being could bring about in the world is only in number of particles in these atoms whose constitution is changeable.  These atoms with changeable constitution are of two kinds – ‘hungry atom’ and ‘surfeit atom’.   Atoms that remain hungry for some more particles to fulfil their constitution are called ‘hungry atoms’.  While atoms where some particles tend to eject from their constitution are called ‘surfeit atoms’.  In this way, the activity of both hungry and surfeit atoms is only for achieving the state of fulfilment in constitution.

Constitutionally complete atom is that atom whose constitution is fulfilled.  This constitutionally complete atom itself is conscious (sentient) unit or Jeevan.  It has been named as “conscious unit” because it is in this lies the power of evidencing entire cognisance (cognition ability) and sensibility (ability of perceive and respond through senses).   In the absence of jeevan, even if humans were to manufacture body (in laboratory) they would not even be able to evidence sensibility, while evidencing cognisance is a far cry.  A human being becomes able to live and participate in the universal order (of existence) only in the course of evidencing their (level of) cognisance and sensibility.  Enabling human being to live and participate in universal order is all there is to it.  Sensibility (responsiveness and susceptibility to sensory stimuli) is evidenced by all living beings of animal order, while human being doesn’t become fulfilled or happy until they evidence their cognisance (as conscience based living), howsoever they may try.

Human being mandatorily wants happiness.  In our pursuits of happiness sometimes we imagine we can become happy be amassing comforts and wealth.  All human beings endeavour in one way or the other to become happy, however there is no evidence of anyone becoming fulfilled or having found lasting happiness from these endeavours.  I became happy (became established in the state of lasting happiness) based on wisdom (understanding of universal order of existence); and I think every human being can become happy upon becoming wise thus.  Human beings are one (in consent with one another) when they are “right” (in tune with universal order of existence) and are many (in discord with one another) when they are “wrong” (out of tune with universal order of existence).  In order to achieve convergence of all human beings there was a need to recognize something which is equally there in every human being, which could be the bearer of “right”, and that thing I understood is ‘Jeevan’.
